Do the replacement officials have an influence on the betting line?

Query by Great Bill: Do the replacement officials have an result on the betting line? I'd be amazed if the oddsmakers didn't take into account their influence (really, the lack of regular officials) to some degree. What do you think? Finest solution:

I doubt it. Poor refs can screw up both way and assist both crew. There's no way to predict which team they will finish up aiding. Oh, and I am not saying the replacement refs are poor, they've actually done a good work (though not perfect). Besides, betting lines aren't set by bookies based mostly on detailed analysis of how the teams examine. The lines are set based on supporters placing their funds on the line. The bookie's aim is to get an even number of bets on every side of the line so that the losing bets pay the winning bets and the bookies preserve the commision. If bets are coming in lopsided they change the line till factors even out. So realistically, the replacement officials only have an effect on the line if the people placing bets Assume the officials are going to influence the game.
